Two Qualification Routes:
Route 1: Recognized Qualification

- Professional or academic qualification (partial recognition): 2 points

Professional Experience:
- 5+ years: 3 points
- 2-5 years: 2 points
Language Skills (choose one):
- German B2 or C1: 3 points
- German A1 or A2: 2 points
- English B2 or C1: 2 points
- English C2: 1 point
Age:
- Under 35: 2 points
- 35-40: 1 point
German Connection:
- Lived legally in Germany 6+ months in last 5 years: 1 point
Partner (additional):
- Partner has university degree and moves with you: 1 point

A 32-year-old software developer with:
- Bachelor's degree (recognized): 3 points
- 4 years work experience: 2 points
- English B2: 2 points
- Under 35 years old: 2 points
- Total: 9 points ✅ (Qualified!)
What You Can Do With the Opportunity Card:
- Part-time work: Up to 20 hours per week while job searching
- Trial employment: Up to 2 weeks with any single employer
- Job search: Full 12 months to find qualified employment
- Explore Germany: Live anywhere, travel, interview in person

Process:

- Open blocked account with €13,092
- Get health insurance quote
- Apply at German embassy/consulate
- Processing: 1-3 months
- Fee: €75
What Happens After:
If you find a job during the 12 months:
- Convert to regular work visa/Blue Card
- Can apply from within Germany
- No need to return home
